I'm definitely here to mock. This "poll" is a farce. People just tend to write in the names of restaurants they know the names of, or that "everyone" says is good. Best delivery . . . Domino's? That just goes to show you the veracity of the BOM. Ask the masses a question and you will always get the lowest common denominator of an answer.

I use to appreciate these surveys, finding the hole in the wall type of place, undiscovered by the masses, quaint etc etc, now the best suggestions for a coffee is to go to Tim Horton. Yes they have good coffee, but it is not what I am looking for. Maybe people should offer suggestion, and then someone checks them out and rates them accordingly. And drop the franchise crap from the list please.

Yeah, it's basically useless. You could interview a mushroom and get a better opinion on where to eat in Montreal. Basically the Mirror guys just sit back while the Average Joes check in (think Zagat, but hugely increased to include transients and you'll be getting the picture).

That said, I generally trust reviews in Mirror and Hour rather than the Gazette.

I think if people actually take the time to send in answers that are not necessarily the most popular ones (basically their favorites as oposed to the first thing that comes to mind, and not the BEST) we will have a more interesting poll...since no one seems to do that then they should eliminate this poll completely.

first ...the list doesnt make any sense. " la sirene de la mer "should be put on of the "shittiest restaurent in the world" list. too expensive for their shit food ...they serve frozen vegetables in 25$ plates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...go figure
